It actually might kill you - all of my muscles hurt.

BANKS

I always cash my husband's checks. He never signs them - I simply write 'for deposit only" and the bank account number on the back. Suddenly today that is not permissible any more for "security" reasons. Do they really expect me to believe that they have their commercial customers hand signing checks instead of stamping them "for deposit only" with the bank account number? Everyday everything just keeps getting more and more difficult.

Inconvenient commerce

Went to the store and the bottle of water I put on the counter never made it into my bag - at least I was not charged for it - just thirsty when I reached in my bag and there was no water. Then I went to the sandwich place and asked for mozzarella, black olives and lettuce. Left the shop - bit into the sandwich - YUK - it was Swiss cheese which I don't like and I can't eat for other reasons. That was when I realized that I didn't have the water. So, back to the sandwich shop - they made me another sandwich - now I am late going back to the office. So, of course, I get caught by the train that very inconveniently intersects town instead of going under the road or over the road as it should. Am I the only one who has days like this?

First Blog

I read other people's blogs all of the time, but I have never blogged. I had a birthday a few days ago and decided that it is time for me to blog. It isn't as though I have nothing better to do - the "to do" list grows daily and never gets done.

Observations this week so far - when you go to buy shoes and they don't have your size it is sufficient for them to simply tell you that they don't have your size. It is not necessary to do inventory while they are back there and come back with a report. Sales person to me: "We don't have a 71/2 but we have two 6 1/2's and one 8." Really, does she think that I am actually going to consider buying shoes that don't fit?

Our education system is failing. 20 somethings with high school diplomas remind me of people in my parent's generation who were early drop outs. It is really scary to me that there is so much ignorance and illiteracy.
